Bloc Team Shortlisted for Finance and Sustainability Awards

We're proud to announce that three of our team members – Mo, Aimee and Keith – have been shortlisted for regional and national awards for their work within the finance and sustainability spaces!

Mo, our Financial Director, and Aimee, our Finance Officer, have been shortlisted for Finance Team of the Year (SME category) in the GENCFO national Digital Finance Function Awards. This award recognises a “high-performing team that works well together and consistently demonstrates a commitment to excellence”.

Mo has also been shortlisted for Finance Leader of the Year, which celebrates “an outstanding CFO or leader that has delivered real value”. Since Mo joined Bloc less than a year ago, he and Aimee have been further developing our data recording and management information, and bringing the whole of Bloc together to encourage more efficient working and enhance profitability. With continued growth and the establishment of a new US business, the team will certainly be kept busy this year!
We also congratulate Keith Cox, our Co-Founder who has been shortlisted for the Green Award in BBC Radio Derby’s Make a Difference Awards. This is given to an individual or group of people who “make where we live more environmentally friendly and better for nature”. Keith has been recognized for his work with Co-Treetment, a local not-for-profit tree-planting organization that he is passionate about being involved in. Along with other members of the Bloc team, Keith has helped to plant over 2,000 trees this season – reducing the CO2 emissions of local individuals and organisations by around 20,000 Tonnes over the next 20 years. It’s clear his efforts will continue to make a huge positive environmental impact for a long time to come.
We’re always proud to celebrate the achievements of our team. Stay tuned for the results of the GENCFO Digital Finance Function Awards and BBC Radio Derby Make a Difference Awards, on 15 June and 10 September respectively. We have our fingers crossed – good luck to Mo, Aimee and Keith, and to all the other finalists too!
