Our UX Design team, in collaboration with Marketing and Development, led the digital strategy from the ground up, providing expert consultancy in UX/UI design, digital transformation, and engagement-driven marketing tailored to the travel and tourism industry. Our technology expertise helped with key features like interactive maps, AR integration, and gamification.

We conducted go-to-market research-driven workshops, competitor analysis, and brainstorming sessions to maximise impacts and provide future-proof options to evolve the app. By analysing user behaviour and industry trends, we ensured alignment with Florida First’s mission to enhance travel experiences. The concepts met both user and business objectives. We also played a key role in supporting Florida First’s investor presentations, helping to communicate the platform’s value, scalability, and market potential.

Bringing travel planning into the digital age to connect with a younger audience, we took a fresh, modern approach to personalised travel itineraries. Our goal? To make trip planning more interactive, engaging, and seamless. We started by understanding exactly what travellers need, analysing the current market, and brainstorming innovative digital solutions.

This led to two key ideas:

ITINERARY EXPLORER TOOL (WEB)

A 2D/3D interactive map that brings destinations to life. Users can explore travel locations through immersive 360° views, videos, and user-generated content, all while staying updated with live social feeds and event notifications. This tool makes itinerary planning more engaging, visual, and interactive, allowing users to discover nearby attractions and access key trip details in one place.

COMPANION APP

A mobile extension of the web tool, designed for real-time itinerary tracking, social sharing, and AR-powered exploration. Users can receive personalised recommendations, get live updates on events, and even unlock rewards for engaging with travel experiences, all from their smartphones.

Alongside product development, we helped refine the client’s brand positioning, audience targeting, and digital marketing strategy. From PR approaches to campaign ideas, we provided insights to boost adoption and engagement, ensuring the tools reached the right audience in the most impactful way.

By blending technology with travel, Florida First’s itinerary planning is smarter, more connected, and effortlessly immersive for a unique customer journey, swapping boring itinerary processes with fun and engaging ones.

User engagement and retention strategies integrated within the software will encourage user-generated content across both the Itinerary Explore Tool (Web) and Companion App.

To retain engagement, the UX team added gamification features like milestone badges, leaderboards, and social media challenges. These elements encouraged users to explore, compete, and share their experiences, building a sense of community with gamification designs. These elements not only made the platform more interactive but also fostered a strong travel community, turning passive planning into an exciting journey.
